Partnering Progress

As a conglomerate with deep-rooted linkages across the country’s supply chain and distribution networks, we are acutely aware that creating value for external stakeholders is vital for business resilience and long-term sustainability. These external stakeholders play a critical role in shaping the organisation’s environmental, social and economic impact, enabling the Group to propagate sustainability-conscious behaviour, drive innovation and explore solutions for common challenges.

Supplier Value Creation (Our aspirations):
  • Propagate good social and environmental practices across our supply chain
We are committed to promoting responsible social and environmental practices across our supply chain through screening, ongoing engagement and supplier audits. By integrating sustainability criteria into our procurement decisions, we encourage suppliers to adopt best practices in environmental management, resource efficiency and labour rights and good working conditions.
  • Implementation of strategic supplier development programmes
Given the extent and depth of its relationships, the Group is uniquely positioned to drive impactful supplier development. Several key sectors within the organisation implement ongoing programs that enhance supply chain resilience and support the long-term sustainability of valued partners. Aligned directly to the Group’s corporate purpose of building an inclusive world, this approach has enabled the Group to drive socio-economic empowerment and progress along its extensive value chains.
Community value creation:
Community empowerment is a vital part of who we are as an organisation, deeply embedded in our values and strengthened by our extensive geographical reach. Driven primarily at Sector level, our initiatives focus on key areas such as education, health and well-being, livelihood development, and the preservation of religion and culture. To ensure the effectiveness and long-term impact of these initiatives, all projects are periodically monitored through impact assessments, audits, beneficiary feedback, and, where necessary, independent third-party evaluations. This structured approach ensures that program objectives are met while continuously improving outcomes for communities across our widespread operational footprint.
