‘SINGER THIRST FOR LIFE’ DONATES TWO DIALYSIS CRRT MACHINES TO NHSL

‘Singer Thirst for Life’ a CSR Project of the Singer Sri Lanka Group, donated two dialysis continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) machines to the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (NHSL) in its efforts to help treat patients diagnosed with the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Carried out with the aim of identifying the specific requirements at Government hospitals for dialysis CRRT machines, this most recent donation brings the total dialysis CRRT machines donated over the last seven years up to 10, with the entire donation being valued at Rs. 30 million. “Singer water filters available at Singer Sri Lanka showrooms island-wide help to minimise the threat of chronic kidney diseases in Sri Lanka. But without stopping there, through this project Singer Sri Lanka is making a worthy effort to protect the lives of kidney patients as well,” Singer Sri Lanka Group CEO, Mahesh Wijewardene remarked. The ‘Thirst for Life’ project which was started in 2013 with the donation of two dialysis CRRT machines to the Polonnaruwa Hospital, has since expanded to donate dialysis CRRT machines to the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital, Jaffna General Hospital, Wathupitiwala Base Hospital and Padaviya General Hospital.
