Hayleys opens South Asia’s largest Aluminium factory

Hayleys PLC is set to expand the production of Aluminium extrusions in a big way with the opening of a world class largest factory in the South Asian region recently. Hayleys invested over Rs.2 billion to set up this modern state of the art factory of its subsidiary Alumex PLC to upgrade manufacturing infrastructure and technology constantly supplying unique combinations of aluminum profiles.

The performance of the Alumex Company improved considerably during 2018/18 year in comparison with that of the previous financial year recording a turnover of Rs.451.6 million, a growth of 282 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year. The continued expansion in the country’s construction sector has helped the sales growth of Alumex Group, which has a market share of over 53 per cent.
