Hayleys debentures snapped up on opening day

Hayleys PLC issued a Rs.3 billion debenture, with an option to raise a further Rs.1 billion. The debenture was oversubscribed on the opening day, assuring investors’ confidence on the investment opportunity in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan diversified conglomerate offered 30 million listed, rated, unsecured, senior, redeemable five-year debentures of Rs. 100 each with an option to issue a further 10 million debentures at the discretion of the company in the event of an over subscription of the original amount.
